Summary
What does this car say about you?
The car says that I like reliable, well built, yet good value german vehicles. And don't forget, it looks very cool with the 19" M-Sport Spider alloy wheels ;).
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Similar opinions to myself. A very classy, well made car, when polished properly, with a private plate it is impossible to guess the vehicle's age.
Would you buy this car again and why?
I would buy another one of these in a heart beat. I drive the car every day without fail, covering at least 75 miles per day and the car makes me feel at home and at ease.
What are you likely to buy next?
BMW 520d SE (F10) Efficient Dynamics or BMW 730d SE.

Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£15,000
When did you buy the car?
December 2009
Did you get a good deal and why?
I received a very good deal and a competitive price for my part-ex vehicle.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I've always admired the styling of the e60 5 series and the combination of black bodywork with cream interior was impossible to turn down.
What was the dealer like?
Very helpful and not really as pushy as I had expected them to be.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Engage the cruise control and the car practically drives itself on long distance journeys. A very relaxing car to drive, especially around town, good range of visibilty, no aparent blindspots. I put 500 miles per week on my 520d and regularly drive work cars/hire cars and nothing even measures up to the way the BMW drives. I will be buying another once I have driven this one for a few more years.
What's it like to park?
From the exterior, the vehicle looks dauntingly large, but from the driver's position, the mirror's and visibility around the vehicle make parking very easy. Takes a little getting used to, but along with the parking sensors, its a very easy car to park.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Only BMW recalls have made me take it back to the dealer, other than regular servicing. Runflat tyres are a pain, BMW recommend not to repair them, but most garages will repair them without a problem.
What's most practical about your car?
Economy, load space, passenger comforts.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
IDrive system.
