Summary
What does this car say about you?
Couldn't care less what it says about me, I buy a car to enjoy driving it and to get me from A to B, end of story.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They all seem to like it, maybe they are being polite but again it's me driving the car!
Would you buy this car again and why?
I would definately consider another 5 series, probably opt for something with a little more power next time.
What are you likely to buy next?
Either the e90 5 series or a well speced 3 series

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£13,000
When did you buy the car?
October 2010
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes I was happy with the deal, the car was as new and had well below average miles.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Previously owned a Z4 and needed something a bit more practical.
What was the dealer like?
The dealer so far has been brilliant, nothing is a problem for them.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Coming from the Z4 this is the complete opposite end of the driving spectrum I think, its very smooth power delivery wont shove you into the seat but there is a relentless feel about it, I do think the car would benefit from more power though I imagine the 530i is much better.
What's it like to park?
It's probably as easy to park as any car this size, the park distance front and rear displayed on iDrive monitor is brilliant. However it is a very large car so where a 3 series would fit snuggly the 5 wouldnt get a look in.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No
What's most practical about your car?
Rear leg room is really good, and the boot is enormous. Really smooth over bad roads so unlike the Z4 I arrive with unshaken.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Bluetooth phone, syncs no problem, all contacts automatically appear on iDrive and if i could get the voice control working it would be even better!
