Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

This car is all things to all men. In one breath it's a cool, calm and collected comfortable motorway cruiser. Then at the push of a button it's full on madness. The MHT supports the engine to be both economical and in Sport mode, very rapid. The entire system throwing out 720nm of torque.

It never fails to make me grin. Either when it achieves 75+ MPG in EcoPro mode or after it's been down the B Roads in Sport Mode.

It needs an owner that's going to be realistic. It's a 280+ bhp 3.0 litre diesel. It's never going to sip fuel. But it can be very restrained. Often travelling office to home over 18 miles averaging 75+ mpg. But when driven in Sport mode it will drag its consumption down to 45mpg.

How reliable do you find the car?

Minor unsettled handling characteristics caused by 1 tyre being significantly lower in tread than 3 others that the main dealer had changed.
It could have damaged the transfer box!

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

I part exchanged a '70' plate F44 218d Gran Coupé for my "70" plate G30 LCI 530d xDrive.

Despite appearing to kitted out with iDrive 7, the 5-series lacks Lane Assist and Road Sign Recognition. It would appear to be some sort of "lite" version designed to look like iDrive 7.
