Economy
Value
While it will doubtlessly hold its value well, the headline cost is hard to justify.
Costs
It is supposed to have a max 19,000 service interval. However it appears my first will be up at 4,000 (with no urban driving), so that is five services before 20,000 miles. And, at 21mpg on average, it does not bode well.

On the road
Driving
Very positive steering and handling, but the ride is way too harsh for a family car.
Performance
To be fair this is pretty good and way better than the equivalent Merc. Loads of torque, but using as much fuel as it does, it should be fast!

Living with it
Reliability
A couple of bits have fallen off but, otherwise, so far so good
Image
Fine if you like BMWs!
Comfort
Seat are lovely and infinitely adjustable, but given the total lack of suspension they need to be.

Security and Service
