Summary
What does this car say about you?
Successful, practical, impatient.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Great looking car but those who know about it's electrical gremlins think it's a turkey. Gremlins expensive to fix.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Probably not - electrical gremlins would be a deal breaker. Very expensive to repair.
What are you likely to buy next?
Sorted - trading the BMW in for a Vauxhall Meriva 1.7 CTDi SE with all the toys. Don't have the caravan anymore so need for a big heavy tow car.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Fantastic, loads of power and oozing BMW luxury.
What's it like to park?
Quite a long car. Would be better to park if the parking sensors worked.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Mechanically, the car has been fine. Electronically, a nightmare. Biggest problems:- 1) Remote Central Locking Failed (apparently a common problem on the Touring model - something to do with water ingress around the 'fin' above the boot) 2) Parking sensors failed, 3) Drivers side electric window sometimes sticks, 4) Window of boot sometimes opens on its own accord (linked to RCL problem).
What's most practical about your car?
Good sized boot.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Cruise control.
