BMW 5-Series Touring (2010 - 2017) 520d BluePerformance SE (Business Media) 5d Owner Review

In their own words
This is car is a lesson on engineering brilliance. Quiet, comfortable, solid, good to drive, with a peach of an engine, that always delivers enough power with amazing fuel efficiency. It’s s 5 Series after all.
Assuming that you use your touring to carry stuff then you will have use of some great little bits of genius. Examples are; the boot lid glass opens independently of the main boot lid. This saves time when you just need to chuck stuff in the boot, but is also invaluable if you have bikes on a tow bar rack. The load cover also has an integral safety net that you can secure into the ceiling. This can be done with the rear seats up, but it can also be moved to just behind the front seats when the rear seats are down - creating a van! There’s under floor boot storage, plus deep wells behind the rear lights that can take several bottles of wine each! The rear seats fold flat by pulling levers in the boot, and there’s loads of clever storage inside.
So it’is perfectly engineered, well thought out and just what I need. That said my Jaguar XF made me feel more special, and it got more looks. (Cost a fortune to run, interior was flimsy, and it wasn’t practical!).
Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
A great long distance cruiser and load lugger, but with some great extra touches.About their car
