As budget didn't stretch to the 530d I thought the 2 litre would feel underpowered, but no. I don't drive hard but then don't drive slow either so getting 42mpg over the 3 years of ownership I think is good going. Enough power day to day, a great cabin to spend a lot of time in. I didn't like having to cycle through the ventilation options rather than just pushing the button/s where you want the air to go, but a very minor niggle. Didn't have VDC specified but the car handled well enough for me. Went from a Volvo S60 to this car and so impressed I'll be sticking with a '5' for my next car.
How reliable do you find the car?
Had an engine management issue 4 months after taking delivery. Dealer sorted it out no problem, no issues since.About their car
