People think I've spent a fortune but this is not the case. People say it resembles the starship enterprise at night!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, it seems all the car you could want.
What are you likely to buy next?
Another 5 series touring again, I would like to think I will get a 530d next time.

Did you get a good deal and why?
Got a very good deal I believe, 14k for a BMW 520d auto, pro nav (big screen) and vdc, 62k on the clock, full main dealer service history.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I've had a 3 series before and loved it. I also wanted a premium estate car.
What was the dealer like?
Very good and straight forward, was a specialist BMW dealer in Derby.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Handling is superb, engine is very good for a 2ltr, it's not incredible, can feel a bit too long when wanting to make a quick dash from a junction but is a great unit overall, especially with fuel. I only do 16 miles daily for work and am still getting 46 mpg, 54 on a good run.
What's it like to park?
Great, already used to big cars anyway, the front and rear sensors make it a breeze.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing, have had it a month now, no strange noises or problems, one thing that is irritating is the leather rubs and squeeks off the seat belt connector (talk about nit picking)!
What's most practical about your car?
The large boot. I was concerned coming from an avensis estate which had a feature to keep shopping / items from moving in the boot that the BMW wouldn't fair well but the car is so smooth this is no problem. The coming home light switch on the key fob.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The vdc is great, I always slip the car into sport before overtaking etc. The sat nav is great too with the big screen, also the boot glass lid that opens is really handy.
