Probably, I need the room of an estate car and the BMW is good to drive while being economical and has a quality feel about it.

Got some discount,almost matched the prices I've seen from brokers.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Need to replace existing car and after years of Fords, Renaults and VWs thought I'd try a premium brand and the BMW touring ticked the right boxes and was well specified.
What was the dealer like?
Very helpful and not too pushy, went through the options but didn't do the hard sell. Same on Gap and tyre insurance they offer, which I didn't take as GAP insurance is cheaper elsewhere and as I've got standard wheels the tyre insurance didn't seem to be good value.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Very refined to drive. Run Flat Tyres can be a bit harsh at times, but the car sits well on the road is quiet and has ample power in reserve.
What's it like to park?
Quite a large car and the front and rear (standard) parking sensors are essential.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No, but I did get a strange smell from the clutch when doing a lot of maneuvering on a steep hill with the car full loaded. I got the garage to check the car and they couldn't find anything wrong, it was put down to clutch getting hot when car was fairly new.
What's most practical about your car?
Roomy, comfortable and all controls easy to reach and use.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The electronic handbrake and hill brake hold system, took some getting used to, but brakes hold the car on a slope for a couple of seconds until you set off. Electronic handbrake is used for parking car only.
