BMW 6-Series Coupe (2004 - 2010) 635d Sport (2010) 2d Auto Owner Review

In their own words
This is my second 635d. The last was written off in a bad motorway smash at 70 moh where my granddaughter, wife and I walked out injury free. Effortless acceleration like a train, comfortable, great driving position and equipment. Hifi is very good, mine has the logic 7 option. This does not handle like a sports car, because it isn't, its a grand tourer. Though you can still drive it hard and it will surprise you with what it can do when you push it. The only thing I would change is the tyres. Bmw's come with run flat Bridgestone's which are adequate but not the best. On my last one I changed to Michelin pilot super sports. They are not run flat so you have to change all 4. You can't change individual tyres or just one axel with normal tyres leaving run flats on the rest. The handling is messed up and it's dangerous. With the Michelin on it stuck to the road like **** to a blanket. Boot is big enough to take luggage and adults can go in the back, just expect the front seats to be near your legs. I have been in the back and I'm 6ft and 17 stone. Look after it and oil change every 7/8 thousand miles and you should not have a problem with the engine no matter how many miles you put on it. Also, change the oil and filter in the gear box every 100,000 miles and that will go forever as well. I have always been tempted to go with one of the V8's, and like most like the M6 version but then my sensible head comes on. I still have very good acceleration and handling but with very good MPG and reliability which, as this is my only car, is needed. Will I change it? Eventually, I will probably have to at some point . What will I look at? Another 6 series. What else?
