Summary
What does this car say about you?
Never been too worried about this aspect but I guess it's quite flash but in quite an understated, classy way.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Everyone has been extremely confirmatory. It still looks like a 70 grand sports car even though it now 3 1/2 years old. My wife absolutely adores to drive the car and will get into it any chance she can get, either as passenger or driver.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes I would. It's certainly been my favourite car to date. Previously I drove a 330ci auto which I liked the generally was hard to get more than 23.5 mpg. Doing short trips around town the 635D gives me c.30 mpg which is very impressive for a car that is as swift as it is. On a longer journey anywhere between 38-42 mpg which is great. The finish of the car is fantastic and even after 3.5 yrs it is just amazingly tight and solid. No squeaks, no rattles, extremely well built. The only disappointment for me has been the sun roof - there's nothing wrong with it but it will only tilt, it doesn't slide all the way back. This is just the design, but I would much prefer to have a sunroof that opened all the way.
What are you likely to buy next?
Quite happy with this for the moment but if I was choosing again I might look at an M6. If not BMW I would again be looking at a low mileage 2 to 3-year-old car that brings a lot of bang for the buck. very tempted by the new BMW i8 but this is certainly going to be out of my price bracket sadly.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£30,000
When did you buy the car?
October 2012
Did you get a good deal and why?
I'm sure I could.have got it a little cheaper if I had been prepared to compromise on options but I particularly wanted a sunroof and there are not many examples around. I was willing to pay a little extra for a very low mileage model with all the options I wanted.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Performance and Economy Mix.
What was the dealer like?
Small and bespoke, specialising on very clean low mileage cars. No high-pressure sales and very easy chap to deal with.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
An absolute pleasure. Very torquey and very flexible. Can either be driven in a very relaxed manner but can also pick up its skirts and really move.
What's it like to park?
Very easy to park, although by the nature of its design, the doors are very long. Front and rear parking sensors make it very easy to park.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing at all.
What's most practical about your car?
It has a cavernous boot and it's plenty big enough to put to good sized kids in the back and can even take a couple of adults. Easy to park with parking sensors front and back.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Heated seats and audio compatibility for MP3s.
