Economy
Value
Initial depreciation very steep, makes them a very good used buy. I bought at 3 years old with low mileage and enjoy luxury motoring for family hatchback money.
Costs
Good buy. Not needed a service yet. 25 mpg average. All sounds pretty good though, I am not kidding myself it will continue to depreciate at higher than average levels.

On the road
Driving
Fine handling for it's size. Controls are logically laid out.
Performance
Ok the progress is more leisurely than rapid. Has a reaspnable turn of pace when pushed.

Living with it
Reliability
I have only had the car for about 7 months and about 8k miles and no problems so far. I bought from a main dealer with a warranty and wouldn't expect any failings at this stage.
Image
Classic lines, the badge and the equipment tally help (I have the Comms Pack with TV etc.). I expect it to fade as the 'new' model becomes more common. Quite a few old tired looking examples on the roads doesn't help to maintain the image.
Comfort
Very comfortable, very quiet all helps to enhance the luxury feel.

Security and Service
Security
No problems so far.
Service
It has not needed a service as yet. The sale was handled well and was very efficient (very different a MB I bought recently!).
