What is miles per pound?
Fuel economy
A more stringent standard for fuel economy (WLTP) was introduced from September 2017, and this model was not required to undergo that test.
Its fuel economy measured under the previous test system was 20 - 26 mpg. However these figures are less likely to be achievable in real world driving and so should never be compared to another car's mpg which was measured under the newer, more realistic WLTP system.

Depreciation isn’t the concern that it once was (unless you bought new), especially with the older cars. Servicing and maintenance costs are high, although good non-franchise specialists can ease the burden. Fuel and insurance for the 7-Series is expensive.
Greatest worry is owners that buy the 7-Series thinking they’ve got a bargain, but can’t afford to maintain it properly. There are occasional electrical gremlins but it’s mechanically very sound and capable of very high mileages.
