BMW Alpina Saloon B10 V8 4d Switch-tronic (2001/Y) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Best value when second hand at around 3 years.
Costs
Depreciation is the biggest sting - horrendous! Car doesn't cost that much to run and 21mpg average is great from a 4.6 V8 + fast switchtronic auto.

Driving
Superbly setup. Great handling without a poor ride. Pure perfection.
Performance
Outrageous torque and phenomenal acceleration. 347BHP with 480nm sees off virtually all competition. Hang with supercars and other super saloons.

Living with it
Reliability
No problems whatsoever except for two wheel bearings defective which should have been picked up before I got the car - sorted with no quibble as you would expect.
Image
It's a BMW with class. Listen to the gasps and hisses.
Comfort
Incredibly comfortable seats. Spacious driving compartment. Well setup suspension. 19s a little harsh but the suspension does a good job of hiding that from you. Great fast-changing auto with steering wheel buttons makes any traffic jam unnoticeable.

Security and Service
Security
No one tried to nick it and they would have to use force to take it away.
Service
Great service from my dealer but not all dealers are the same! Do your homework.
