BMW i3 (2013 - 2022) s Atelier interior world auto 5d Owner Review

In their own words
I was on a Trackday with BMW at brands hatch a number of years ago. They had the i3 doing parking manoeuvres. I wasn’t interested in the car in the slightest. Until I got into the car, It completely blew my mind it was amazing, they had recently announced the I3s at the time. So spacious for 4. Carbon tub like many supercars and F1 tech on the road, this does bring compromises firstly it’s hard to get warm especially for my elderly mother. Heated seat is always on. Long journeys aren’t even considered, but for the shorter journeys it is good. Acceleration is phenomenal, handling is good for a car that has such large wheels 20” and not too wide. The wheels are in all the corners. It loves to consume tyres just like my previous M3 and Porsche Turbo. My energy consumption has increased by approximately £100 a month whereas the cars I had previously were consuming £400 fuel a month. I do feel it’s slightly compromised, yet it does get under your skin.
How reliable do you find the car?
A couple of recalls regarding a label on a charger, and replacing a charger. Awaiting to have it seen by the dealership to sort the suspension knocking and leaking water into the cabin.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
This car is amazing and frustrating in equal measures. Learn to use the preheat function in the colder months it’s a must, also the mileage varies vastly between 92-135 miles. We use it quite often and it consumes tyres like an BMW M3 and there isn’t much choice.About their car
