BMW i8 (2014 - 2020) Coupe 2d Auto Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
After owning a lot of performance cars and previously a lover of big engine noisy car inc M4, Jag XK-R v8, Subaru WR1, this is the longest I’ve actually kept a car for and now approaching 4 years so that says something as usually get bored!
The first think is it’s lightweight agility that I liken to hot hatches back in the day that handled really well instead of heavy engines weighing it down.
It’s actually a good every day car and you can choose if you want it to be a kitten or a lion!
It’s a win-win for me as the running costs are low but it has the performance that I crave.
Once you know how to get in it, bum first, it’s actually quite spacious and more practical than a 2 seater.
It’s a different beast in sport mode, stiffer and full 4WD giving a torquey agile feel.
Yes it’s not a Lambo but nor does it have that price tag or running costs!
It’s not really an electric car due to its 15-20 mile range so just forget about that and enjoy it!
A great all rounder in my opinion and a great buy at these prices down from an eye watering £120k initial price.
