Had many Audis and BMWs before I retired. Previously has a 3 series touring which was a great car, but wanted something easier to get in and out of due to hip problems so got the X3 although I wasn't an SUV fan. They outhandle most regular cars, the fantastic twin-power 2.0 diesel and mild-hybrid system makes all but the most extreme overtake possible. Great load lugger also. Hard to really criticise the car in any way other than the Merc or Audi equivalent interiors are a bit more flashy. Would consider another one in a heartbeat.
How reliable do you find the car?
My wife gets mid 50's but I am a bit more heavy footed so 52 ish at motorway speeds
Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Brilliant gearbox, brilliant load lugger and 2.0 diesel coupled with mild-hybrid system gives very respectable performance. Would only bother with 3.0 diesel if I regularly towed stuff...
