BMW X5 (2007 - 2013) 4.8i SE 5d Auto Owner Review

What to say about the 2007 BMW X5 4.8i SE, big, bad driving machine, it’s the best car for the money I have ever bought, fast, safe, amazing handling for such a large car, effortless in overtaking, almost like a tall limousine it’s so well configured, electric leather seats, panoramic sunroof, steptronic gearbox, you can change gear manually or fully auto, sport mode which stiffens the suspension for enthusiastic driving, self levelling suspension at the rear for large loads, head up display, automatic wipers and headlights, idrive which lets you configure or see all the information for the car and setup the audio, rear camera, the list goes on and on, suffice it to say I’m still finding more features of the car 3 years on from first buying it, would I recommend it, yes, but please go into the purchase eyes open, check the service history, it’s a big car and things do go wrong but mostly oil leaks at high mileages, they aren’t usually serious but will cost a few bob, find a good independent garage and you can’t go wrong. Once you’ve had an BMW X5 the only replacement you can purchase to top it, is a newer one, everything else just doesn’t come close.
