Economy
Value
You don't exactly by BMWs because they are cheap, do you?
Costs
Any little problem always seemed to cost £150 minimum at main dealer.
-
On the road
Driving
It feels good, although it's no 3-series. Notchy gearbox, but it's grunty enough.
Performance
It's not the fastest, but if you put the revs in, it ain't that bad.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Dreadful considering its a BMW! Most main mechanical aspects have gone seriously wrong.
Image
It's never gonna go out of style. This car will always be respected and admired.
Comfort
Nice heated leather seats, good shape and plenty of leg room. The drive could be smoother.

Security and Service
Security
Not bad for a soft-top. Immobiliser and alarm, neither of which have yet been challenged.
Service
Good, but at what price? They seem to give you a price before even having an idea... go with specialist and not main dealers.
