Value
Good value buying a used Z3 privately.
Costs
BMW servicing isn't the cheapest, however insurance is quite low (group 14).

Driving
The handling inspires confidence. You always feel like you know what the car is doing and when you're reaching its limits.
Performance
0-60 acceleration is reasonably rapid and progress through the gears at higher speeds is rewarding. You have to use the gears quite hard to get the best from the engine though.

Living with it
Reliability
Appears to be very reliable so far, apart from a worn water pump at 37,000 miles.
Image
Great for the summer with the hood down.
Comfort
The cabin is very comfortable and the seats feel great. The car feels equally at home on winding country roads and long motorway journeys.

Security and Service
Security
Immobiliser and alarm as standard certainly help to give peace of mind.
