Driving it
What's it like to drive?
At first the controls feel heavy but you get used to that. An amazing amount of low speed torque from the engine. It would be better with a higher final drive as fifth gear is too low. The z3 is often maligned for its primitive rear suspension. It is true it is not as good as the other BMW's of the time however it is still ahead of most other cars. The ride is good and controllable.
What's it like to park?
Fairly easy however you have to be aware of the very long bonnet.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Yes but that is expected after 7 years. No major faults, just bits of suspension.
What's most practical about your car?
Boot not bad for a sports car. Really it is very hard to find anything practicable about this car.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Electric Hood
