BMW Z4 Coupe (2006 - 2008) 3.0si Sport 2d Owner Review

Owned this car through the backend of last summer, over winter and now in to spring. The car is a real cracker, very quick, very loud due to the sound generator pumping noise from the straight 6 into the cockpit, very engaging drive. Every time I sit in it and fire her up there is a sense of occassion. People often ask me about it, quite rare to see them on UK roads in coupe form. Ride is stiff even with non run flats but handles potholes well enough. Prefers the open road to round town. Gearbox takes a little getting used to but is then very intuitive, hard work in stop start traffic though. Handles most weather conditions well, even snow didn't stop play. DTC keeps car behaved and the backend in shape so rarely feels unsettled, even in wet. Great occasional car but might get wearing as a daily driver with stiff ride and gearbox.
