What does this car say about you?
Enjoys life, its a fun car, but also has a prestige to it.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Love it. Say it looks lovely, especially in silver with the roof down.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Probably not. With all that has gone wrong with it over the 2.5 years of ownership, and now the BMW warranty has run out, i'm looking it change it and buy something else (not BMW!).
What are you likely to buy next?
Something more reliable, Japanese perhaps.

Got a reasonable deal, managed to get more for my part ex than reduce the windscreen price on the car.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Loved the look of it.
What was the dealer like?
Fine, not pushy and helpful with after sales care.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Fantastic. The 2.0 engine is very responsive, great on fuel, and the steering is razor sharp around the corners. Feedback through the steering wheel is excellent.
What's it like to park?
Fine, no problem, though the rear parking sensors help. Even easier with the roof down.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
LOTS! Where do I begin. In the 3 years of ownership (35k to 83k miles) the following went wrong. Thankfully I bought a BMW extended warranty, which saved me close to £4k in repairs: Oil leak, injector failure, catalytic converter failure, windscreen wiper motor failure, vacuum pump failure, 2x oxygen sensors needed replacing, new exhaust manifold, CD changer replacement, glass in door mirror fell out, one of the parking sensors failed.
What's most practical about your car?
The boot is actually a good size and can be increased in size when the folding roof isnt being used. It can be used as a daily run around and is a great motorway cruiser.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The hill start assist. All cars should be fitted with it. It holds the car on an up or down slope for 2 seconds after taking your foot off the brake pedal, hence no roll back on a hill.
