I read review after review about 2 door, convertibles for men having a MLC. I eventually decided on the Z4 and my budget £4-5000. As the car is not used for a daily commute the advice was to go for the 3 litre straight 6, fairly bomb proof engine. I bought the car from a trader in Cardiff, in the pouring rain. It's black and has black leather. Must have heated seats and get the most comfortable seats you can find. The only downsize at present is the light and temperature are fading and the car will be spending more time in the garage. Make sure you get the roof motor moved to the boot to save it drowning and get the drain plugs removed. There are mechanics on the internet who will do this for £100-150. I expect to get some bills as the car is 14 years old. Hope to take it to France next Spring, if we're allowed in.
How reliable do you find the car?
Only had the car a few weeks. I knew it needed an oil chnage £80 and front discs and pads £190. At the local, excellent, garage.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
The 3 litre engine is the one to get, so smooth, not bought for the MPG.About their car
