Plus, if you’re not fussed about keeping your car standard, you can spend the money you saved on upgrades to make your Z4 faster and more comfortable. A suspension poly bush kit and a more modern stereo system with Android Auto are both excellent places to start.

The biggest pitfall to Z4 ownership is completing the irritating jobs that nobody wants to tackle. Replacing the car’s roof motor is a real pain, as is swapping out its rusty brake lines. However, if you’re a competent mechanic and can mend these issues yourself, you could use foibles like these to carve chunks out of the car’s price.
