The Alfa Romeo Brera and Spider models are set to be offered with a new petrol and diesel engine.
The new petrol engine offered is the 1750 TBi option with a power output of 200bhp. This will see the Brera and Spider do the 0-62mph sprint in just 7.7 and 7.8 seconds respectively and a top speed of 146mph.
This boosted power hasn't jeopardised both models when it comes to emissions though, with the Brera figure at a respectable 189g/km and the Spider emitting 192g/km.
In the diesel option buyers get the new 2.0 JTDm engine with 170bhp. Emissions are an impressive 142g/km for both the Brera and Spider while performance is still very good.
The Brera fitted with this engine will take 8.8 seconds to reach 62mph with the Spider just behind on 9.0 seconds and a top speed on both models of 135mph.
Along with the new engines both models will also be available in a new exclusive edition trim level called Italia Independent.
These models will come in matt black paint finish, 18-inch black opaque alloys and red brake callipers.
Inside the models get sporty black leather steering wheel and gear knob with red stitching, sports dials, black sports seats, aluminium sports pedals and high tech radio/sat-nav.
Italia Independent models will start at £26,330 in the Brera and £28,330 for the Spider.
