Has recall work been carried out?

When you are considering buying a used car it is important you are fully aware of any potential problems. Vehicle records agency VOSA regularly issues recalls for models where issues have been reported. 

As well as checking over the paperwork and condition of any car you buy it is also worth checking whether the car has ever been subject to a recall and whether that recall work has been carried out. 

Here are the VOSA recalls for April: 

Model: Volvo S80, V70 and XC70

Problem: Auxiliary drive belt may detach

Numbers affected: 2,282

 

Model: Suzuki Alto - automatic

Problem: Brake lights may fail

Numbers affected: 898

Model: Porsche Panamera S, Panamera 4S and Panamera Turbo

Problem: Front seat belt mount may become detached

Numbers affected: 404

 

Model: Renault Laguna

Problem: Seatbelt may not perform correctly

Numbers affected: 9,959 - built between January 1, 2007 and August 24, 2009

 

Model: Renault Grand Modus

Problem: Rear bench seat may jam

Numbers affected: 4,403 - built between January 1, 2008 and October 10, 2009

 

Model: Chevrolet Cruze

Problem: Fuel may leak

Numbers affected: 831 - built between September 25, 2009 and December 3, 2009
