Aston Martin says its Cygnet 'luxury' city car will go on sale in the UK in spring next year but it'll cost buyers at least £30,000.
Measuring just 3 metres long, the new car will be the smallest Aston Martin ever. It is essentially a Toyota iQ with an Aston Martin skin but, sadly, it doesn't have the iQ's £11k pricetag
The car was revealed in 2009 as a concept car but the production model pictured here isn't hugely different from that. Aston is now importing factory-ready Toyota iQs from Japan and will be fitting different body panels and interior at its Gaydon HQ.
There'll be one just version with a 97bhp 1.3-litre four-cylinder petrol engine available. Customers can personalise it but if they do they there's every chance the price will exceed the £40k mark. Aston says no two Cygnets will be identical, however.
It'll return 59mpg on average with CO2 emissions of 113g/km. Its performance will be very un-Aston with a top speed of at 106mph flat and a 0-62mph acceleration of 11.8 seconds.
