The Citroen C3 Picasso range has been upgraded with cleaner, more efficient, engines and a special model called the BLACKCHERRY.

Based on the VTR+ model, it's powered by a 1.6-litre diesel engine with 90bhp. The car gets a black exterior with red detailing, roof bars and unique alloy wheels.

Standard equipment includes air-con, cruise control with speed limiter, iPod connectivity, Bluetooth, electric mirrors and front electric windows.

A new 1.6-litre diesel engine with 110bhp has also been introduced to the range which returns a claimed 59mpg and emits 125g/km, meaning yearly road tax of £90.

The other engines, a 1.4-litre 95bhp petrol and a 1.6-litre 90bhp diesel, have been redesigned, with Citroen claiming cleaner emissions and better fuel consumption. Combined cycle fuel economy increases from 42.8mpg to 44.1mpg and 60.1mpg to 61.4mpg respectively.

All models in the C3 Picasso range now come fitted with energy-saving tires, designed to lower emissions and increase economy. USB connectivity for MP3 players and Bluetooth will now be standard on the VTR+ trim level and above.

The new C3 Picasso is available from November 1, with the 1.4-litre petrol costing £12,695, the 1.6-litre diesel £13,795 and the limited-edition BLACKCHERRY model is priced at £15,195.
