Hyundai has had a busy time this year unveiling its new ix20 MPV, the refreshed i10 and new developments for its Blue Drive eco-focused programme.
The ix20 is aimed at the likes of the Kia Venga, Citroen C3 Picasso and Vauxhall Meriva and is available with a choice of two petrol and two diesel engines in November for around £11,500.
The diesels, both 1.4 litres, come in 77bhp or 90bhp versions with the 77bhp variant emitting 119g/km of CO2 and averaging 63mpg. The more powerful 90bhp version returns 46mpg and emits 140g/km of CO2. The Blue Drive economy versions of the diesels emit 114g/km and 139g/km of CO2, while returning 66mpg and 47mpg respectively.
The 90bhp petrol returns 44mpg and emits 148g/km of CO2, while the Blue Drive version emits 139g/km and with 47mpg average fuel economy. The most powerful engine, which is not available in Blue Drive specification, is a 125bhp 1.6-litre petrol that does 43mpg and emits 154g/km.
The updated i10 features Hyundai's new hexagonal grill, new wheels, revised lights, air ducts, bumpers and new blue illumination for the instruments. Indicators have also been fitted in the wing mirrors, in line with Hyundai's other new models.
The new i10 range also includes the Blue Drive model that features a 68bhp 1.0-litre three cylinder engine with stop/start that emits just 99g/km of CO2.
The facelifted i10 range will go on sale in January 2011 with prices starting at £7,925.
