  • Integrated TomTom sat-nav comes as standard
  • Improved emissions means cheaper showroom and road tax
  • Available to order from 8 November for £24,495

Renault's revised Espace and Grand Espace come with more kit, cleaner engines and a cheaper price tag.

Both people carriers now come with LED running lights, new headlights and a new blue paint option with gloss black trim. Two new alloy wheel designs are also available. All Espaces feature integrated TomTom sat-nav systems and a Teflon protected interior trim as standard.

Both versions are powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine that's offered in two power outputs. The lower powered dCi150 comes with manual six-speed gearbox and emissions of 170g/km of CO2 (was 188g/km) - so road tax drops from £235 to £180 a year and average fuel consumption comes in at 43.5mpg.

The high-powered 175bhp version comes with a six-speed automatic, returns 39.2mpg on average and now emits 189g/km of CO2 which saves £125 (now costing £425) on showroom tax compared to the previous model.

A wide range of options are available including an opening tailgate window (£320), bi-xenon directional headlights (£650) and a DVD system with two 17-inch screens integrated into the rear of the front headrests (£1,500).

There's also an additional 'Initiale Lux' pack available for £3,500 on the range-topping Grand Espace. It features an interface for portable music players, European sat-nav, metallic paint, front parking sensors and full leather upholstery. Four rear seats with armrests are fitted in place of five, reputedly offering greater levels of space and improved comfort.

The Espace 2.0-litre diesel, which is available to order from 8 November for delivery in January 2011, costs £24,495. Upgrading to the Grand Espace (a longer version with more space)  costs an additional £1,500.
