Smart's new generation fortwo city car is available to buy now for £8,780 with a facelift, interior changes, extra kit and lower emissions.
The front and rear aprons, side skirts and filler cap now come in the same body colour as standard and the pulse model now gets three-double-spoke alloy wheels, while Xclusive includes chunkier alloy wheels. Both pulse and passion versions can now be specified in the brighter shades of new light blue and matt light green colours.
Smart has made changes to the coupé to improve practicality so that the car's rear lower tailgate can be opened by using just one of its two release levers rather than both as previously.
Inside the dashboard design now gets a full fabric-covered instrument panel, which houses restyled dials. There have also been changes to the fabric and colour designs for the cockpit, seats and door centre panels.
All models get extra storage thanks to a new glovebox design and net pockets on seat side bolsters. Both trim lines receive new steering wheel designs too - a three-spoke leather sports wheel with modified seam stitching for the pulse and a two-spoke leather item with matt chrome bezel for the passion.
The pulse model now gets iPod connectivity and passion and Xclusive versions get an audio and navigation system, which has a 6.5-inch touchscreen display, as well as bluetooth, auxiliary and USB ports, iPod interface and CD/DVD/SD functionality.
The new-generation Smart will still use the 71bhp micro hybrid drive petrol unit that now emits 97g/km of CO2 - an improvement of 6g/km.
The emissions of the Xclusive are also lowered to 119g/km although it gets a 7bhp increase to give a total power output 102bhp. Now it accelerates from 0-62mph in 8.9 seconds - a second quicker than before. The whole Smart range now emits less than 120g/km.
