Smart has launched a new special edition version of its Fortwo city car that has been created to appeal to audiophiles.
Called the Fortwo ICE (in car entertainment) edition the new trim differs cosmetically from the rest of the range with its carbonfibre-effect safety cell and black bodywork, plus its Brabus 15-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the highlight of the special edition's cabin is a sound system co-developed by hi-fi experts Pioneer.
The new stereo benefits from not only a powerful sub-woofer but a new touchscreen display panel that enables users to scroll through their playlist of music.
The new control panel also includes a menu for both satnav and Bluetooth handsfree connection. The system also has both iPod and iPhone connection.
Smart has also created a new trip computer that is included in the system that actively analyses the driver's driving style to help the owner drive more economically.
As well as the new stereo the ICE edition comes standard with a leather interior, sports steering wheel and air conditioning.
Just 200 will be sold in the UK with prices kicking off at £10,495 for the 71bhp 1.0-litre petrol models. The 54bhp 0.8-litre diesel, meanwhile, will be priced from £11,245.
