All cars in the Kia range sold in the UK will now come with the manufacturers' seven year warranty.
The warranty - valid for seven years or 100,000 miles depending on which comes first - is the longest offered by any manufacturer and has only been available on the Ceed and Sportage before, but it will now be included on everything from the Picanto to the Sorento.
It's not just new car buyers that will benefit from this though. The warranty is transferrable to any owners within the period, so even if you buy a used Kia registered after January 1, 2010, you could still inherit a long portion of the original manufacturer warranty.
Previously the Rio and Picanto got just three years unlimited mile warranty, while the Soul and Carens came with five years/unlimited mileage warranty.
Under the seven year warranty paintwork is covered for five years (depending on the model), audio is covered for three years and service parts, accessories and batteries are covered for two years.
Normal 'wear and tear' on parts such as brake pads and tyres are excluded from the warranty.
