The MINI stand was buzzing as the 'hot' version of the Countryman - the Paceman - was unveiled.
At present the Paceman is a concept but we expect the car to make production. According to observers it makes sense to build a 'hot' Countryman since MINI stands to gain some marketing mileage from its participation in the World Rally Championship. It is hoped the Paceman will become one of the most iconic cars in MINI's range.
The show car has a tuned version of the John Cooper Works petrol engine under the bonnet. This 1.6-litre turbocharged engine produces 212bhp the car features the ALL4 permanent four-wheel drive system that is used on the Countryman.
