Suzuki took the wraps of its Swift S-CONCEPT and the Japanese company was at great pains to tell the Geneva media hordes that this is 'more sporty and exciting' with a stylish appearance and bold bodywork design.
Suzuki also told Parkers that a Swift 4x4 may come to the UK and is currently undergoing evaluation. It will emit 128g/km of CO2 and will come with a manual gearbox priced around £14,000 as the company looks to take sales off the likes of the Nissan Juke.
The Kizashi is another model from Suzuki, an all-new saloon with emissions of 182g/km of CO2 and a switchable drivetrain between 2WD/4WD. It's likely to cost in the region of £24,000 and will be powered by 2.4-litre petrol engine. No diesel option will be available and it will be fitted with a CVT automatic gearbox.
The Suzuki stand also featured the revised 2011 model Splash with a new more powerful 93bhp dual VVT 1.2-litre engine - first used in the new Swift.
This engine promises improved driveability with 7% fewer emissions - now 119g/km - and a combined fuel consumption of 55.4mpg for the 1.2-litre with manual transmission.
The revised Splash will be available with new 'SZ' model grading, in line with all other Suzuki models and is also available with a 1.0-litre engine.
Specification upgrades include new interior seat trim as well as new design alloy wheels for the 1.2-litre SZ4.
Pricing starts from £9,495 for the 1.0-litre SZ3 model.
