Honda will be showing an electric vehicle concept at the Geneva Motor Show next month.

The EV Concept electric vehicle looks similar to the current Jazz hatchback and it will be part of Honda's 'road to zero emissions' display which will also include a mid-sized plug-in hybrid vehicle. The revised Honda Accord Saloon and Tourer models will also make their debut at the show.

It is expected that the electric plug-in will take centre stage. Honda says the concept car will give an indication of the technology and styling for its electric car - the Fit EV - due to be launched in the Japan and the UK next year. As well as the battery powered technology the car will include several interactive coaching systems to help the driver maximise the battery's 100-mile range.

Alongside the EV Concept will be a mid-sized car featuring the Japanese company's next-generation twin-motor petrol/electric hybrid powertrain. There'll also be be a prototype Honda charging stand, providing a glimpse at the future of an electric-charging infrastructure.
