As much as we’d like to think wheel clamps are the answer to all things theft, sadly, they’re not. They can act as a great visual deterrent, but thieves have become a lot cleverer in recent years. From cloning keys to disabling factory trackers, more layers of protection is key to high-value vehicles – which can include campervans due to their high resale values. An RFID/Faraday key pouch or box is a no-brainer since thefts occur due to key relay methods.

The key thing about campervan wheel clamps is to avoid cheap brands. It’s easy to simply drive off (albeit with a bit of damage) with a cheap clamp installed on. Ideally, you want a product that hides any possible leverage for cutting and angle grinding, but more often than not, thieves want to be away with a vehicle in seconds.
