A shiny new pressure washer is an awesome way to take the effort out of cleaning and is a real essential if you want to properly wash your car, but you’ll need to stock up on the best essential pressure washer attachments to really get your money’s worth.

Without the correct attachments you’re making your work harder, and only unlocking a fraction of your pressure washer’s potential. Pressure washer attachments make cleaning a lot easier whether it be your car, bike, garden or even wheelie bin.

While some pressure washer bundles will include a selection of attachments, cheaper models and used examples may leave you with nothing more than a nozzle. We’ve looked at official attachments from the top manufacturers and have the best examples right here. Note that this list doesn’t include snow foam lances, as we have a dedicated article for them.

What you need to know about pressure washer attachments

Do I need pressure washer attachments?

Pressure washers will often ship with a foam cannon and maybe a brush designed for wheels. These are absolutely fine but are entry-level options for car cleaning. Aftermarket attachments will make awkward jobs (like cleaning the chassis) a lot easier and extract extra and often unrealised performance from the pressure washer.

Which pressure washer should I buy?

If you’ve had a look at pressure washers you’ll quickly discover that there is a massive spectrum of prices that can make it a minefield to find the best pressure washer for your needs.

While it can be tempting to blow £200 plus on a high-powered pressure washer this often isn’t necessary. These are if anything too powerful for domestic work and best left to builders and the like for more industrial cleaning. There are plenty of excellent domestic pressure washers available for less than £150 and many good budget pressure washers for sale for less than £100.
