The best wing protectors to use during car repairs

  • The best quality options recommended
  • Protect precious paintwork
  • Other useful workshop items recommended

Written by Chris Williams Updated: 4 July 2022

For the classic car owners and serious car tinkerers out there, protecting the front wings of your car while undertaking repairs is quite important, and thus a cover for them is necessary.

Such covers are usually made from vinyl and attach to a car wing with magnets or suction cups. The former has a stronger hold but only adheres to metal. The latter also allows the car wing protector to grasp onto other materials such as plastic.

In addition to providing a useful service, car wing protectors ask very little in return. The fabric is resistant to oil and water and doesn’t need any special care. Just wipe it down if you want to.
