Revell emerged in the mid 20th century, being one of the first companies to produce true-to-scale plastic model kits. In fact, the number of fans has grown recently thanks to the pandemic confining people to their homes more than usual.

Revell skill levels
Revell kits are ranked from one to five, in ascending order of difficulty.
Level 1: Very basic and no need for glue or paint. For young children.
Level 2: Basic kits with up to 30 parts. Requires glue and paint.
Level 3: Medium complexity kits with up to 100 parts.
Level 4: Detailed models with up to 150 parts.
Level 5: Complex kits with over 150 parts for those who’ve done models before.
What you need for kit building
Other than the most basic kits (Level 1), Revell kits require gluing together and painting of the panels. Most kits don’t supply glue and paint so you will need to buy these separately. These extras aren’t too expensive though.
