Keeping the peace: the new Dacia warranty scheme to help you find your Zen

  • New Dacia Zen seven-year warranty
  • Renews after each annual service
  • Available for cars up to six years old

Dacia has launched a new seven-year warranty scheme called Dacia Zen. It’s designed for all Dacias aged up to six years old with fewer than 75,000 miles on the clock.

Much like Toyota’s 10-year warranty scheme, Zen cover requires owners to have their car serviced each year at an official Dacia retailer to renew for the following year – a process that can be repeated until the car’s sixth birthday.

Once a qualifying vehicle reaches the end of its standard three-year warranty period, it can be reset for another four years following each annual service within the official retailer network.

Cars that have had maintenance carried out by a supplier outside of the official network may still be eligible for Dacia Zen, so long as the work was in line with Dacia’s recommendations and it was all documented. Owners in this category need only to have their next service carried out at an official Dacia retailer to activate Zen on their car.

According to Dacia, the new warranty scheme underlines the confidence it has in the quality and robustness of its vehicles.

Dacia’s head of UK aftersales, Steve Whitcomb, said: ‘Owning a Dacia is all about adventure, but that doesn’t mean that owners should have to worry about the unexpected.

‘The reliability and durability of our vehicles is well documented, but Dacia Zen gives our customers even more reassurance. In the unlikely event of an issue, Dacia Zen means they won’t have to pay out for any repairs and can spend the money on the things that they really want and enjoy.’
