Chevrolet Camaro Coupe (1998 - 2004) 3.8 V6 2d Auto (1998/R) Owner Review

Summary
What does this car say about you?
That I like to drive something a bit different. It isn't as instantly recognisable as being American due to rather universal styling, but they are a rare site on the road so people do stare at it. Those who look are probably surprised to find a 25 year old behind the wheel.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They like it.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Hmm. The thing that attracted me to this particular car was the low mileage, but if I was doing it again, I would probably buy the V8 model; the V6 isn't that much more economical. Also, I'd buy one with a manual gearbox. The auto suits the car/engine well, but I just prefer changing my own gears.
What are you likely to buy next?
Something else with 2 doors and more power than strictly necessary, I suspect!

It was priced about right.

Typical car dealer, but I've met worse.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It may be the 3.8 litre "Economy model", but it cruises effortlessly. LHD hasn't given me a problem once. Don't be scared by it, give it a try! :)
What's it like to park?
It's not a small car, so choose your parking spaces carefully! Visibility isn't great, but not too bad.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Clearing airlocks out of the coolant system has proved somewhat problematic, but it hasn't "gone wrong" at any time.
What's most practical about your car?
Not really a car you buy for practicality, but the boot and rear seats are bigger than some rivals.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Even though it's got few of the optional extras, it's still better equipped than the BMW I had before it.
