Summary
What does this car say about you?
I think the car says that I like small hatchbacks, but bucking from the norm. I have had Nova's and Fiesta's in the past, this is something different.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
My mum thinks the car is great, she has a Matiz. My fiance thinks I should be driving something bigger, but says it is my choice of car. My neighbours like it and are thinking of getting a five door version. My colleagues at work just laugh, I work for a Renault dealership!
Would you buy this car again and why?
I would buy this car again, only if they did a 1.6 version. The car needs a bit more oumf going up hills and overtaking.
What are you likely to buy next?
If I had a choice, I would most probably go for a Lacetti 1.8 Sport. This has been my first Chevvy, and I think the marque is great.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£5,795
When did you buy the car?
September 2007
Did you get a good deal and why?
I managed to get £200 off the window price and a good price for my part exchange. Working in the motor industry, I knew how to get the price down.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I purchased the car to replace my aging Corolla. I loved the looked and the feel of the Kalos when I took it out for a test drive.
What was the dealer like?
The dealer, which is a main dealer, was absolutely brilliant. The salesman was very polite and didn't talk to me as though I didn't know anything about cars.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It is fun to drive, even though struggles up hills and on acceleration to overtake, have to drop it a gear. It is great on country roads, especially on my route to work.
What's it like to park?
As I stated before, it is easier to park than my old car. Very light and agile.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
I have only had a couple of problems with the car. The first wasn't down to the car itself, I had the car broken into, and the radio stolen. The lock and handle had to be replaced and a dent taken out of the door. The second was a squeek coming from the front as I was going over speed bumps. Found it was the stabiliser bar bushes on the front suspension. These were replaced under the warranty as it is a known fault.
What's most practical about your car?
I think the most practical thing about my car is the size. It is smaller than my old car and very easy to park.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
I think my favourite 'gadget' is the exhaust. Having the sports exhaust gives it a lovely engine sound, especially when acclerating.
