Chrysler 300C Saloon (2005 - 2010) 3.0 V6 CRD 4d Auto Owner Review

Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
People often ask about the fuel consumption......All I say is that I get about 30-35 about town, but on a steady cruise, without flooring the pedal, I've had 55 per gallon....Pretty good by anyone's standards for a Mercedes V6 (Diesel)......But, under the hood, that engine is purring away away at well under 1500 RPM without putting any metallic sinew under any stress whatsoever.........The Petrol Hemi may have been a different story, but "Dirty Diesel" does the job, AND it still doesn't Smoke overly despite 85K!!......... OK the Sat Nav is VERY old skool by today's standards, but who needs that stuff anyway......The Boston Acoustics Sound System is Fantastic, as the kids have now "flown the nest" the Factory fitted DVD doesn't get the use it deserves.....I just wish that I'd had this car Fifteen (or so) years previously.....I recently took the car to have a replacement Battery fitted....The mechanics all wanted to come and take a look at my Pride and Joy, which made me extremely proud to be the owner of such a lovely product of a collaboration between Chrysler in the US and Daimler-Benz in Europe........ Unforeseen circumstances may mean that this will be the last car that I ever own.......I think it will probably last me that long, given that they seem to carry on for nearly double the current mileage......That said, I will "Hop Off The Perch" having thoroughly enjoyed my driving experience until my dying day.......I hope that my review will help anyone else decide to buy this awesome VEE HICKLE....!!!
How reliable do you find the car?
The only problem that have, is that the Electronic Throttle Control (Red) Warning Light shows after a few miles, and the car goes into "Limp Mode"....Still Drivable, but I have to revert to Manual Gear Change to improve acceleration.......The car has had this since I purchased it, and (foolishly) I have accepted the situation. I suspect that it is an Engine Control issue, but have changed it out a couple of times with pre-owned ones, but to no avail. That aside, the car is beautifully comfortable, turns heads daily, and is a joy to own and drive.....We had these on rental in Florida many years ago, and I have wanted one ever since!!!
