Chrysler Grand Voyager 2.5 CRD Limited 5d (2003/53) Owner Review

Economy
Value
It's expensive compared to an MPV, but this vehicle has to really be classed as an executive car. There is no comparison for it which is probably why so many dealers are not prepared to negotiate much on prices.
Costs
Not the cheapest to run. Insurance is the biggest cost, but Chrysler offer some great rates - I found that they beat everyone else I asked and I asked everyone. Being a diesel means the servicing is done less often than the petrol versions.

Driving
Great driving position, good views all round the vehicle and fully adjustable drivers seat.
Performance
Can leave most cars standing at traffic lights, although does need to be worked a bit in 3rd and 4th gear. Automatic would have been desirable.

Living with it
Reliability
So far, so good, although the winding mechanism in the boot cover did snap, but is covered under the warranty.
Image
If it's good enough for celebs, it's good enough for me. I remember Britney Spears coming out of one like mine.
Comfort
Leather, heated seats, air con, apart from a butler and a waterbed, what more could you want?
-
Security and Service
Security
Thatcham-approved alarm and immobiliser come in handy - especially with insurance.
Service
The dealership was great, however Chrysler themselves have been slow to send the part described above and the dealer I used to order it (not the one I bought it from) ordered the wrong size.
