Summary
What does this car say about you?
That you like a Retro style and like your car to be well equipped and smooth to drive. I also think that this particular car is quite related to personality. You kind of have to get to know it.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They mostly love it. Retro looks are great and in dark red too. But there are people who think it looks like a taxi!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. Well despite criticism of running costs it really doesn't cost any more than an average car of X reg. If you drive like an idiot it is going to cost you ££. Like I said you certainly have to treat this car well and get used to it.
What are you likely to buy next?
Another PT when the time comes although it will have to be used as they don't make them anymore.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£0
When did you buy the car?
March 2009
Did you get a good deal and why?
I got a good deal because I think the PT is either liked or not and if you shop around you can find one that they are trying to sell off. Be careful you make sure the car is in good working order though.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Wanted to find a reasonably priced, well-equipped, low mileage car, that was basically a smooth runner.
What was the dealer like?
The dealer was okay but I think he was a little miffed he had to accept my offer. But I think he was fair enough.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Smooth to drive although you have to treat it well. Gears can be clunky and you need a little power to get moving. Definitely a car you need to 'feel' to get used to. You will either like it or hate it.
What's it like to park?
Not too bad. Drive carefully. View through rear-window not the best but huge side mirrors very handy. Would benefit from parking sensors I suppose.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Not yet but it is a used car and I am sure there will always be little niggles and things.
What's most practical about your car?
It is very well equipped and great to drive. The driving position is fairly high which is good.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
I actually like the fact it comes with both a CD and Cassette player - I have a box of tapes which I thought I would never play again. Overall though the Car itself is great.
