Summary
What does this car say about you?
Family person that likes a comfortable journey.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They like it for the room and power it has, however there is probably more passenger room in the Kia Sedona as my mum has one of those and the very rear passenger leg is slightly better.
Would you buy this car again and why?
This model I like the shape of, the newer model is lovely on the inside and nice to drive but I do not like the shape of the exterior.
What are you likely to buy next?
As my children have now grown up I will still be looking for a seven seater but will downsize a little to something like a Mazda 5.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£6,800
When did you buy the car?
February 2010
Did you get a good deal and why?
I feel I got a good deal as I knocked him down from his asking price and paid approx £500 less than other models I had looked at both on the internet and in the Parkers guide.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I wanted a larger 7 seat vehicle for my family as the hatchback we had previously was getting a tad too small.
What was the dealer like?
The dealer was as most dealers are, pointing out the good points of the vehicle and the benefits of it. He was also helpful and friendly. I would certainly go back when I next change my vehicle to see what they have.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It is very comfortable and relaxing. The suspension take out most lumps and bumps in the road so given a lovely smooth ride. Travelling at 65 - 70mph you can barely hear the engine so makes for a better journey. There is plenty of power for the overtaking and pulling away.
What's it like to park?
Parking is no problem, it is just like you are in an oversized car.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
I had the car for two years and the gearbox went faulty. Unfortunately for me it was an expensive replacement. I do have a problem every now and then with the alarm going off for no reason and when you try to turn it off with the key fob it does not do anything. You have to unlock the door and put the key into the ignition to stop the alarm going off.
What's most practical about your car?
It it spacious, versatile and for a vehicle of its size and weight fairly good on fuel (35mpg). The seats can be taken out giving your plenty of room to possibly use as a van! It is great for towing my caravan, you hardly notice that the caravan is there.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
I do like the steering wheel controls for both the radio and the cruise control. You cannot see the radio buttons as they are on the back of the steering wheel but once you have figured out what button does what they are great to use.
