Citroën 2CV6 Charleston 4d (1987/D) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Cheap to run, cheap to buy.
Costs
Cheap to run and insure, needs a lot of love and attention, all the time! Parts easy to find. Use specialist garages as Citroen main dealers have not got a clue.
-
On the road
Driving
Nice car to drive, good tilt around corners
Performance
It's no GTi, but it gets from A-Z at some point, quicker if it is down hill.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Needs love and attention and it will carry on going, Rust and Chassis a major problems major issue
Image
Unusual looking, young kids love it, cheap convertible.
Comfort
Not the best, especially if you are more of a fuller figure. Seats good to take out for picnics.

Security and Service
Security
Very poor, Fit a Microwave alarm if it's your pride and joy, because of the soft top, I had to fit this because of an attempted theft.
Service
Use only Specialists, Citroen main dealers have not got a clue, they put the handles of my doors the wrong way around, they also advised me they had topped up the radiator, I had to explain to them it was air cooled, what radiator!
