Citroën AX 1.0 Dimension 3d (96) (1997/P) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Cheap car, no luxuries, good first car.
Costs
Very cheap to run, about 37mpg.
-
On the road
Driving
Large windows and compact car size make parking easy.
Performance
Nippy enough in town traffic. Overtaking can be a bit of a mission on faster roads.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Starts first time, even after very cold nights. No running problems so far.
Image
Looks quite dated, but it looks better than other cheap alternatives like the Nova, old Micra, Panda, Mark 2 Fiesta (debatable).
Comfort
Front seats are comfortable. Pedal layout is quite cramped, but you soon get used to it. Rear legroom is poor (especially behind driver) but most small cars have the same problem.

Security and Service
Security
No security fittings, but I shouldn't think it is a hot target for car theives.
Service
Can't comment as I have not needed to contact them at all.
